MCA Selangor to Tony Pua – Stop deceiving the people
Regarding the remarks by DAP National Publicity Secretary Tony Pua saying that Pakatan Rakyat will reduce the number of civil servants if they take over the federal government, the opposition should first lead by example beginning with the four states under their administrative control instead of continuing to mislead and deceive the people by saying one thing and doing another.
Tony Pua’s remarks were also dismissed by PAS. According PAS’s newsletter Harakah, PAS Vice President Dato’ Mahfuz Omar had said that there had been no discussion on reducing civil servants among Pakatan Rakyat parties and that Tony Pua’s comments are merely his own personal view.
DAP also shows no commitment on the issue. If Pakatan Rakyat really wishes to cut down the number of civil servants, then they should have done so in their own states first, but until today, no action has been taken by them in Penang, Selangor, Kedah and even Kelantan.
Tony Pua had also once said that Selangor will acquire the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) in order to elevate the burden on the people, but three years later nothing has been done yet. Time and time again Tony Pua has come up with facts and figures which are wrong, proving that he only wants to deceive the people.
He constantly attacks the federal government, but when the state of Selangor decided to increase the salaries of their own state assemblymen and civil servants, as well as to outsource projects to consultants instead of using their own state resources, did this not waste the state’s money? They are not setting a good example.
I challenge DAP to implement their policies to prove that they are not deceiving the people, and start reducing their civil servants in Penang first.
